Champion Medical Technologies Executive Management
Peter I. Casady has over 20 years of experience in field sales and distribution
in the medical device field. After working for US Surgical in the mid 1980's,
he spent over 12 years at Osteotech, Inc. in positions of increasing
responsibility in field sales management. He started a surgical implant
distribution company in 2000 called Heritage Medical Group, representing 8
different manufacturers and serving over 500 hospitals in the Midwest. After
seeing first-hand the costly gaps in managing inventory within hospitals and
through his manufacturers, he and Tom Casady created Champion Medical
Technologies to create solutions to address this pervasive need.
Thomas E. Casady has over 25 years of software development experience,
primarily in healthcare informatics. After starting his career developing
perpetual inventory control and purchasing systems for the retail industry, he
worked for Community Health Computing (later acquired by Cerner Corporation)
designing laboratory and radiology information systems. In the mid-1990's, he
joined the Emtek Healthcare division of Motorola, which is now part of Eclipsys
Corporation, engineering applications for critical care units in hospitals.
Before creating Champion with Pete Casady, Tom was with Carefx Corporation
implementing a patient information aggregation system to form a unified view of
the clinical record.
